Growing up in Utah, I began creating as a way of exploring beauty, masculinity, and the things I found myself drawn to long before I had the language to explain them. Fashion magazines were occasionally confiscated, worried glances for only drawing beautiful women rather than superheroes. Eventually, the dam breaks, and the outside push to avoid things only intensified them.
Today, my work focuses on queer portraiture, often blending tenderness, humor, longing, and idealized masculinity that can be sincere performance. Embracing the body and figure to gawk in gay reverence.
